These are strange times. Lockdowns made us appreciate morning coffee with colleagues, check-in queues at the airport, in person dates, hanging out with friends worry-free. They made us appreciate how much we mean to each other. Here we anonymously share our stories, struggles, triumphs and secrets.

- After spending a long time in the UK I'm back in my country. It turns out lockdowns in the UK are not as bad as I thought they were, in comparison with entire weekend curfews. I Cant wait to come back to London where there are dozens of amazing parks where i can workout and breathe fresh air, where the healthcare system is not at the brink of collapse forcing governments to come up with extreme restrictions such as making illegal for people to go out of their house according to their ID number . A country where you can go out after 8pm if you want to, or where, in case someone in your family needs a hospital bed, chances are you will get it. Where the economy is strong enough despite the uncertainty to keep the society in place guaranteeing the safety of their citizens. People in the UK don't know how privileged they are. Chances are the UK will be one of the first countries in the world, where everyone will get a vaccine. Meaning it will probably be one of the first European countries to go back to normal. In my country they are talking about 2 years, i really cant see myself living like this for 2 more years.

I just got back from an amazing holiday! Got so drunk and saw some banging gigs, even got laid a couple of times....oh...no, sorry, I've been sat on my f*****g sofa rewatching obscure, Scandinavian Netflix cop shows wondering what happened to my life. I love January.

Hi, This is all about missing social life and in long run bring us all to different stages of depression. This winter time(hate it) make things no better, hope spring time will bring some lights and longer days. Trying not to fill my head with this storm of information’s doesn’t bring me any benefit either. Branko

They say it's good to share... It really helps. As we're living increasingly online that means forums like this could be really useful and inspiring, and fun. Having spent most of 2020 living alone, I found it helps to become part of an online community, to share and contribute. But equally, I think, it helps to make the extra effort to keep in touch with your existing friends in person or directly. For example find someone in your contacts who you haven't been in touch with for a while and reach out - likely they will appreciate it too. By doing both, keeping in touch with friends and making new contacts online, you're never really alone. And we just survived another day... :)

Our senior colleague from finances stood up to grab water this morning in our online catch up. Omg, he had red underwear with white bunnies on!!! ???? We all saw it lol. Nobody commented but since 10 am our grapevine channels have been flooded with screenshots. Half of the company knows already. Can't imagine embarrassment when he figures it out... ??

Made pancakes today. The only joy I had today. And a short walk to the shop was comforting. I live alone. Feels like a prison now in isolation. Trying to make some sense out of this turmoil. Miss meeting people. Miss the banter around coffee machine at work. Miss costa coffee smell. Miss Fridays pubs. Miss my life. I don't think I'm handling this isolation very well. It's too long now. Actually I'm sad. So sad. Wish I could talk to someone about my sadness. Don't want to burden my friends, and don't want to take antidepressants either. Don't know what to do really...

After a period of heavy drinking in December during holidays I wanted to go dry in January to recover my liver ??... This morning I read that the lockdown here may last until late March. I don't think I can get through this without wine. Luckily my hubby and I still have quite a few bottles in a pantry and we can't invite friends to share it with them, so we'll drink it alone and get wasted. What else we can do? I was never a reader nor I like spending too much time in a kitchen. Farewell dry January...

Just minutes after the announcement I'm 3745 in queue at Ocado shop online. No slots in Tesco or other shops online. And no. I don't f*****g live in central London. w*f? Again shortage of toilet paper, flour and soap? When is this going to end? And tomorrow my fat brown manager will send me on fourlough coz he can get money for me. Did I mention he will still send me work to do on my private email? What a nightmare

random story

The spring is in the air and I feel great, finally!! Lockdown easing in the UK made me appreciate my life and freedom above all. Being able to roam around London worry free (well, sort of, still), meet my friends, go for food and drinks together and other... just normal stuff. Coming back to living a normal life made me realise how deeply oppressed I actually felt during the lockdown, how badly it impacted me, how winter depression sneaked in...
